Things I No Longer Tolerate

Insight

Growth has a way of clarifying what once went unchallenged.

There was a time when I overlooked certain behaviors, stayed quiet in certain rooms, or gave more patience than the situation deserved. Not because it was right, but because I was still learning where my standards needed to stand.

Over time, clarity replaces tolerance.

I no longer tolerate environments where integrity is optional.

I no longer tolerate silence when truth needs to be spoken.

I no longer tolerate relationships that operate without mutual respect.

Not out of arrogance, but out of responsibility.

Because what we repeatedly tolerate eventually becomes the culture around us.

Disrespect disguised as humor.

Manipulation disguised as leadership.

Drama disguised as urgency.

Avoidance when accountability is required.

Left unchecked, these things quietly weaken relationships and erode institutions.

Choosing not to tolerate them isn’t about being difficult.

It’s about protecting what matters.

Standards create stability.

Boundaries preserve integrity.

Clarity protects trust.

And the truth is, if we want healthier relationships, stronger teams, and institutions that endure, someone has to be willing to raise the standard.

For me, this is no longer about preference.

It’s about stewardship, of my time, my values, and the environments I help shape.

Growth doesn’t just add things to your life.

It also teaches you what you will no longer carry.
